Scheer & Company has three main practice areas:

Strategy:
We help companies in the life sciences field, including large and small companies in both the private and public sectors, to comprehensively evaluate target projects and areas and to define how such projects can be effectively advanced. Clients have included Johnson & Johnson, Hoffmann-LaRoche, American Cyanamid/American Home Products, Eli Lilly, Pharmacia & Upjohn, BF Goodrich, Agouron, Centocor, and Sirna Therapeutics.

Transactions:
We advise and represent our clients on a variety of transaction types, including financings, in-licensing, out-licensing and asset divestments, spinoffs and M&A.

Venture Capital:
We help found and build startup companies in the life sciences and healthcare industries, with the goal of bringing transformational therapies to patients and healthcare providers. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, we partner closely with investors and entrepreneurs to build value and translate ideas into reality. Our portfolio includes both asset divestments from large companies, where moving product development into a smaller, focused, venture capital-backed startup can significantly enhance value proposition, as well as assets licensed from academic institutions, with the goal of taking research forward to commercial reality.
